A Bayonetta is Joker’s Mom

By Rob Layton

A recent fan theory claims that Bayonetta is the mother of the Joker. Let’s break down why this could make sense!

Bayonetta was featured in a few Batman movies to help fight off the Joker.

The similarities between these two are strange, both are very serious, they have an evil sides, and they are female.

Also, during one of her final battles with Enzo it’s revealed that she has a child and it isn’t clear if we know who the father is.

This could be the Joker’s father. These two characters have an unhealthy relationship, which could lead to a bad relationship with the son/father.

We can tell these two are related because of their similar outfits. The suit that Bayonetta wears is practically the same as Joker’s.

They also have similar weapons and fighting styles.

They don’t know who the other person is in their memories, but we all do! And that is Bayonetta!

That’s why she reminds him of someone he loved very much and why they have similar interests and abilities.

I think this fairy should be added to the next game. Not only that, but she should be added to the next Batman movie.

In my opinion, I think Konami is going to add her into the next MGS game.

Bayonetta has already been in a Hideo Kojima game (playable character), and Konami owns the creator of Bayonetta, PlatinumGames.

A lot of these fans are theorizing that she is going to be in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

There is a lot of evidence to support this theory, but there is one thing that I think could be the reason why this is not happening.

I believe it would be best if Bayonetta was left as a fan-made character.

So instead of her fighting in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, she can be featured in another game like:

Super Smash Bros., Quake Live, and Mario Kart 8 DLC. (Which would be awesome).

So please Konami, don’t put Bayonetta into the next MGS game because everyone will hate you for it and we will never get her.

Here is a video that has a fan of this theory talking about it.

I have also heard similar theories, but they don’t make sense to me.

I think that people are making this up to cause drama between the fans of Bayonetta and the fans of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Also let’s not forget her appearance in Batman: Arkham Origins .

I believe she deserves to be in more games than just Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

So how do you feel about this theory? Do you think it’s true? Leave a comment below.

Q&A with Rob Layton:

Could you give me a little background on yourself? Who are you, what’s your job title at PlatinumGames and how long have you been there?

I worked at a studio named SEGA-AM2 up in Vancouver, Canada. It was one of the largest and most talented studios for developing arcade games in the world.

I was hired as an assistant animator on Terminator 2: Judgement Day. After that was finished, I was asked to do the lead character animator on Bayonetta.

When did you start working at PlatinumGames?

I started working there right after Bayonetta was released. bayonetta joker mom

What do you think of the recent theories on Bayonetta possibly being Joker’s mom? What’s your opinion on this theory?

I think it’s kind of funny. I don’t see Bayonetta as Joker’s mom but I see the similarities between them.

Who do you think she has a better relationship with: Enzo or Rodin? Why?

Hmmm, that’s a tough one but I would say Rodin for sure. He seems to suit her better than Enzo in most cases.

If Bayonetta could be in any game that you didn’t work on, what game would it be and why?

She should definitely be in the Super Smash Bros. series! She would make a great playable character…

with her hair whipping around of course! Her moveset could include punches and kicks as well as her guns and swords.

I think she would do well in a fighting game, like the Mortal Kombat series, or maybe Soul Calibur or Tekken!

Do you think her next appearance will be in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain?

I don’t really see Bayonetta as a playable character in MGSV. She is on the main menu of MGSV

so I’m sure Konami will include her somewhere…maybe they will make a DLC character.

I always wanted to see Caius and Jeanne on the big screen. They are my favorite characters in the series.
