What is Retro Fitness Babylon?
Retro Fitness Babylon is a healthy, active lifestyle and fitness plan that anyone in the world can follow. At its core, it’s the rediscovery of how to stay active with simplicity and without needing expensive equipment or gyms. It’s a tribute to people who lived long ago – mostly farmers and hunters who had a lot of physical activity without knowing about modern gyms or exercise machines.
When can I start?
You can begin at any age, and depending on how fast you move (or how much exercise you do today), it can take as little as 2 weeks to get started with Retro Fitness. If you’re younger, you’ll be able to build up more muscle and fitness faster. But if your are older, you may be surprised at how quickly the minimal amount of effort is rewarded, and will want to keep going for longer. No matter what your age or current fitness level, if you work hard and put in the effort, then everyone has the same potential to develop a leaner body that’s strong and healthy.
You may use this site as the guide that leads you to a healthier, happier life. It’s not meant to be taken too literally, but is intended to spark your imagination and teach you how to stay active by doing something good for yourself. Anyone of any age can enjoy it and use it well; it may help you get livelier and more vibrant even as you get older. It doesn’t matter what your current fitness level is; what matters most is that YOU DO SOMETHING!
Retro Fitness Babylon has a simple, intuitive layout that makes it easy to get started with less effort than you might think:
-A log of your exercises and how long each one takes. You can easily do each daily exercise for 30 minutes, if you desire
-An online calculator that calculates how much exercise you should be getting, and helps you work out what number of reps to do for each exercise. After a few weeks, the calculator should tell you what size waist and hips you should be. At that point, you’ll know what kind of exercise routine you need and have a guide to follow
-A log of the exercise and food you’ve been doing over time
– a record of the changes in your body that have occurred as a result of living more healthily. If you don’t keep up with your logbook, then any progress at all is lost!
-Logs of people else’s exercises and food – visitors can log their exercise; others can log their food. As everyone’s routines change, others’ logs will differ from yours. It should be interesting to see how everyone else reacts to different kinds of exercise or eating.
-A forum where other visitors share their approaches to staying active.
–Minimal effort and benefits without spending any money – this approximates the simple lifestyle of people once upon a time.
-Anyone can do it and will be able to get fit in their own way.
-Try it for yourself, but don’t expect to change overnight. Be patient! Think of the benefits when you look back at how much better your body feels in retrospect than when you started out.
-You can change over time as your needs change and as you find what works best for you. You can keep a log of how long certain exercises take or how many reps go into one set, so that you know if you’ve progressed at all.
-You need to be active for it to work. Some people who start exercise may decide to quit after a few weeks; others may keep at it for years. If you want it to last, you’ll have to stick at it; otherwise, you’ll be back at square one, with nothing but your own past exertions to show for how much better you used to feel.
-It’s not about “getting fit”; that’s something that people do because they want to look better. With Retro Fitness Babylon, the benefits are physical and psychological: healthier body and more energy; a feeling of contentment and joy from doing something good for yourself without any special effort on your part. You CAN change your body; you CAN feel good again.
-It’s not a diet: the idea is to eat healthily and at the same time have fun, which should lead to a slimmer, fitter body. But you don’t need to worry about calories or fat content. You’ll still be able to eat what you like as long as it keeps you active – if it helps you stay active, then it’s good for you!
-You should be able to do this exercise routine anywhere in the world.
