On June 9, Clearfield County Career & Technology Center (C&TC) will officially open for business. At the center, more than 100 full-time employees will be working with area businesses and government agencies.
The career center is an excellent example of public-private partnerships. Unlike most career centers, this one is run by a county, but it also has a state-of-the-art facility. I was able to watch the inauguration ceremony live from the C&TC’s big window.
The C&TC is one of the largest employers in the county. There are more than 300 full-time employees here, and almost all of them are full-time employees. The center has over 60,000 square feet of space and another 10,000 square feet of “flex space” for startups, so clearly it’s a place to work.
