Want to know what your annual salary is equivalent to on an hourly basis?

This post will make it easy for you. We’ll show you how to quickly convert your yearly income into an hourly wage.

If you’re working a 50-hour work week, this table will tell you how much that is worth per hour, or if you’re working more or less hours, the table will help translate that into something comparable.

 Each row indicates what the equivalent hourly salary is when you multiply your yearly income by that figure in the cell.

For example, if you are being paid $51,200 per year and you want to know what your hourly wage is equivalent to, look at the row for “Semi-Monthly” in the column of the same number. In that cell it says $38.67 and that’s what your hourly wage is equivalent to.

How to Calculate Hourly Wage from Hourly Income and Hours Worked Per Week

Steps :

1 : Calculate Weekly Income (take yearly salary, divide by 52)

2 : Divide weekly income by 40 (to account for 40 hours of work per week)

3 : Multiply weekly income / 40 The result is your hourly wage.

Situation: You are being paid $1,000 per week.

Annual Income: $20,000 per year.

Work Hours Per Week: 40.

Weekly Income (40 Hours x $1,000) = $40,000

Divide by 40: $400

Multiply by 40: $10/hour. _____________ equals your hourly wage.

Situation: You are being paid $1,200 per week. ____________________hours per week (less because you work fewer than 40 hours a week). Your annual income is $20,000 per year.

Work Hours Per Week: 40.

Weekly Income (40 x $1,200) = $60,400

Divide by 40: $600

Multiply by 40: $15/hour. ____________ equals your hourly wage.
