The Gold Coast is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Australia. With so many activities and attractions to choose from, there’s no wonder why this region attracts thousands of tourists each year. The Gold Coast offers something for everyone: from families with kids to retirees and couples looking for a romantic getaway in hotels in Gold Coast.

The best time to visit the Gold Coast

  • Summer is the best time to visit the Gold Coast, as this is when you’ll find most of its attractions open and operating.
  • The weather can be cold and wet in winter, so this may not be an ideal time for you if you don’t like wintery conditions. However, if you want snow, then you’ll have plenty of opportunities to enjoy it during this season.
  • Spring and autumn are good times to visit as well. Spring because it’s a great time for flowers, and autumn because it’s slightly more relaxed than summertime temperatures but still warm enough for swimming in the ocean or enjoying other water activities at your favourite beach destination without worrying too much about sunburn or getting heat stroke.

Things to do in Gold Coast

There are a number of things to do on the Gold Coast. The choice is yours, but here are some ideas:

  • Take a trip to the beach – There’s no better way to pass an afternoon than to sit in the sand, watch the waves roll in, and listen to them crash against the shoreline. If you’re feeling ambitious, take an early morning walk along one of our many beaches before catching some rays at noon.
  • Go on an adventure – Whether it’s hiking through rainforest trails or exploring caves filled with stalactite formations, there are plenty of opportunities for adventure seekers throughout Queensland’s Gold Coast region. You can also go skydiving or try ziplining over untouched rainforests where only birds and wildlife live.

Getting around in Gold Coast

You can get around the Gold Coast using public transport or by renting a car. To avoid traffic and parking costs, take advantage of the free ferry service, which connects most areas along the coast. Alternatively, taxis and ride-sharing services such as Uber are available in most areas.

Where to stay on Gold Coast

There are many different types of accommodation options available on the Gold Coast. Gold Coast Hotels offer various room types, from budget hotels to luxury accommodations. When looking for family-friendly accommodation, it’s essential to choose Gold Coast hotels with facilities such as swimming pools and playgrounds. If you’re planning on doing some sightseeing, then a budget hotel will be more suitable as they are located near public transport links, which is excellent when exploring this part of Queensland.

Getting to the Gold Coast

The Gold Coast is a popular destination for holidaymakers. If you’re planning to visit the Gold Coast, there are many ways of getting there. The best method depends on where you are coming from.

If you’re coming from Brisbane, you can fly or drive via the Pacific Motorway (M1). The trip takes about 1 hour by car and about 80 minutes by air.

If you’re coming from Queensland’s capital city of Brisbane, direct flights depart several times a day on Air Canada, Virgin Australia or QantasLink services at Brisbane Airport (Brisbane Airport Code: BNE). For those travelling by road, take M1 north westbound towards Surfers Paradise; follow signs to Pacific FAirway/Gold Coast Hwy towards Surfers Paradise and continue onto Pacific FAirway/Gold Coast Hwy until reaching Dreamworld Theme Park (approximately 20km).

You should be fine finding your accommodation once in Surfers Paradise, as most hotels in Gold Coast offer shuttle services or their own courtesy buses, which will drop guests off at their doorsteps.

Plan your holiday carefully before visiting the Gold Coast, so you have everything sorted.

Planning is the key to a successful and enjoyable holiday. You can save money, avoid crowds and make sure you get the most out of your time on the Gold Coast.

  • Plan how long you will stay
  • Plan how much money you will spend

The Gold Coast is an excellent destination for families and couples but it can be overwhelming for first-time visitors. Make sure you plan your stay well in advance so that all of your questions are answered before you arrive.
