In this article, I’ll share some tips and tricks to help you make your way through this challenging yet entertaining game.

Tartaros is a puzzle adventure game which will challenge your mind with its mystery-filled puzzles and amazing art style.
You’ll be solving puzzles in order to progress through the story line, exploring the world of Tartarus.
Perhaps the most puzzling part of the game is that there is none!
You’ll have to piece together what happened before by studying the evidence left behind.
You are an apprentice magus, sent to unlock the secrets of Tartarus. Your master will be joining you soon,
in a magical ritual to unlock the puzzle and reveal its secrets.
But as you wait… a sound – footsteps in the empty darkness. Perhaps this wasn’t such a good idea after all…
The gameplay consists of exploring Tartarus (the abandoned ancient tower where you are trapped) and solving puzzles;
however, some puzzles require items that can be found only in other locations (so exploring Tartarus thoroughly is essential).
Each level has a different theme,
which is represented in the puzzles, characters and artwork.
For example, one level will have you exploring a dark cave-like setting, while another will take place in a magical forest.
The goal of each level is to collect enough keys (or keys and other items) to open the exit door.
However, it’s not as simple as finding the keys and opening the door – you must use each key at various places in order to unlock the exit door.
If you are stuck on a puzzle or can’t get past an area, I’ve provided some walkthroughs below.
I’ll cover everything from obtaining all the required items (keys) to unlocking the door.
Once you have the required items to unlock the door, use the items on the door; it will open, revealing a new world. In some cases, more puzzles await!
Tartarus Entrance
Exit Door Items required: Bullet belt x2 (can be obtained from level 5) Key and chain (can be obtained from level 7)
In this level, your task is to get the key and chain. You can find these in Level 7.
You can also obtain a bullet belt in a later level (level 5), which you will use on this level.
Enter – Open the door, which leads to level 6.
Cerulean Cave
Exit Door Items required: Shotgun (can be obtained from level 5) Bolt cutter (can be obtained from level 3) Key and chain (from level 7)
In this level, your task is to get the bolt cutter and shotgun. You can find these in Level 3.
You can also obtain a bullet belt in a later level (level 5), which you will use on this level.
Set shotgun on the ground (you will pick it up again in a few steps).
Move forward, and the shotgun will ‘stick’ to the ground. Pick up the shotgun. Move forward again, and your character will pick up the shotgun.
Turn to your left, and put down (or drop) your bolt cutter.
The bolt cutter will stick to the ground as well. Pick up the bolt cutter again.
Turn to your right, and put down (or drop) your shotgun, which will ‘stick’ to the floor as well. Pick up both items again.
Walk forward a few steps; your character may not pick up anything in this area (you can’t get any new items here).
You’ll notice that the shotgun and bolt cutter still stick to the floor, almost as if they were magnetised.
Press X to release them. Walk forward again, and your character will take the items. taking cerberos for a walk
Steps required:
Put down (or drop) shotgun and bolt cutter (you will pick them up again in a few steps).
Your character may not pick up anything in this area (you can’t get any new items here).
You can now walk forward; nothing unusual will happen.
Set your bolt cutter on the ground, then walk forward a few steps. The bolt cutter will ‘stick’ to the floor next to you.
Pick up the bolt cutter and walk forward again. Your character will take the bolt cutter.
You can now pick up the shotgun, which is still sticking to the floor. Pick it up, then turn to your left and put down (or drop) the bolt cutter,
which will ‘stick’ to the ground as well. Pick up both items again. Walk forward a few steps, then turn left;
nothing will happen here either – you can’t get any new items here.
Set down (or drop) both items on either side of you in front of you (note: if you are using a controller, press X on an item to put it down or drop it).
